弟子たちはペンテコステの後に主イエスの「第宣教命令」に従って、「エルサレム、ユダヤ全國、サマリヤ、及び地の極にまで」福音を広めた。
「あらゆる国の人々を弟子としなさい」は福音の宣教命令である。「弟子とする」は「イエスの弟子とする」ことであって、宣教者が相手を自分の弟子とし、師弟関係をつくることではない。われらはみな、イエスの弟子である。
