ユダは祭司長たちに向かって「罪の告白」をするが、ユダは、まず、イエスに「罪の告白」をすべきであった。
しかし、「罪の悔い改め」に至らないユダは、祭司長たちの陰謀を責めるのである。「銀貨30枚」で引き受けた「裏切り」は、その程度の軽い「裏切り」にすぎないことを祭司長に認めさせたかったのだろうか？ しかし、祭司長らは「我々の知ったことではない。お前の問題だ」とユダを突き放す。ユダには「自分の問題」として「銀貨30枚の意味」を考えなければならなかったのである。
