＜わが心いたく憂ひて死ぬばかりなり＞
「深い悲しみ περίλυπος ペリりゆポス」がイエスをとらえていた。 イエスは「悲しみのあまり、死ぬほど」に
苦しまれる。イエスが目の前にしておられるのは「死」そのものである。
「深い悲しみ περίλυπος」は、新約聖書に5回用いられ、マタイとマルコはゲッセマネの園でのイエスの悲しみに用いている。（マタイ26:38 マルコ14:35）

「罪の悲しみ」
アダムは罪によってもたらされた「死」の悲しみをことごとくは負うことができなかった。イエスはその「悲しみ」を引き受けられるのである。イエス悲しみ給う。人はいかにイエスを愛しても、その悲しみを共にすることはできない。ただ、その近くにいることが許されるだけである。

イエスはゲッセマネの山で弟子たちに「わたしとともに目を覚まして祈りさない」と言われた。イエスは私の小さな幼い祈りを求められる。

するとイエスは近くにいたペテロとヤコブとヨハネに「わたしは悲しみのあまり死ぬほどである。ここに待っていて、わたしと一緒に目をさましていなさい」と言われた。
「深い悲しみ περίλυπος ペリりゆポス」がイエスをとらえていた。 「深い悲しみ περίλυπος」は「非常に深い悲しみ、悲嘆」の意味である。「悲しみのあまり、死ぬほどである」とイエスは言われた。イエスが目の前にしておられるのは「罪と死」そのものであった。
人はこの「悲しみ」を知らない。あまりの悲しみなので、見ることも、触れることもできないからだ。ただ、主イエスがこの「悲しみ」を身に負われるのである。
