「気づかない」ことは恐ろしい悪である。自分の存在を消しさる危機のかなでも、いつもの通りの生活を続けようとする。だが、原水爆に象徴される最終兵器をまえにして、人間は「逃げる」ことを考えることができなくなった。存在を消し去るような危機を気づかないようにして日常を営むことを覚えたのかもしれない。しかし、神は、この時代にも「箱舟」をつくるように命じられるだろう。ノアがノアと家族のための箱舟を造るように命じられたように、人は個々の存在を入れる「箱舟」を必要としている。
