世の終りのしるしの一つは、キリストの名をなのる多くの「偽預言者」が現れ、多くの人を惑わすことである。

　＜多くの者わが名を冒し來り「我はキリストなり」と言ひて多くの人を惑さん＞

「終わりの日」には、イエス・キリストの名を名乗る者が多く現れ、「私こそキリストだ」と語り、人々を惑わす。

彼らは「自分がそれ（キリスト）だとか、時が近づいたとか言う」が、彼らについて行ってはならない。（ルカ21:8）
