「わたしの小さな畑」
主人から畑をあずかったのは腹黒い農夫たちだった。しかし、その畑にも「収穫の季節」が近づいてくる。
ましてや、心正しき者の畑に「収穫の季節」が近づかないことがあろうか？
収穫されたぶどうは酒槽に集められ、男や女が喜びの歌をうたいながら足で踏み潰し、果汁をしぼって葡萄酒をつくった。「果期（みのりどき）」は喜びの季節である。喜びは主人だけのものではなく農園全体が喜びにつつまれ、歌声にあふれた。私の小さな畑にも「果期（みのりどき）」が訪れ、地もそれを喜ぶ。

「植えなかった場所で摘むな」
「Harvest follows seedtime. 収穫は種蒔きの後に来る」という。しかし、「Pluck not where you never planted. 植えなかった場所で摘むな」という言葉もあることから、自分は種もまかないのに他人の畑をあてにする者もいるのだ。だが、彼が収穫のもっとも良いものを手に入れることは決してあるまい。

葡萄園の主人は畑を貸した農夫たちのところに僕を送り、「ぶどう園の収穫の分け前を取り立てさせようとした」（マルコ12:2）。
人生は神から人に貸与された「よく整えられてぶどう園」である。「喜びの収穫の日」が必ず来る。
神は人に収穫の中から「自分の分」を受け取るために来られる。
神が喜ばれ、求められる収穫は、「碎けたる悔しこころ」である。
