弟子たちの中に言い争いが始まったことを知って、イエスは彼らを呼び寄せて「あなたがたが知っているように、異邦人の間では支配者が民を支配し、力強き大いなる者が権力をふるう」と諭された。

弟子たちの心が神から離れていくのをご覧になり、イエスは彼らが「異邦人の君」のように支配者として「民の上に權を執るになろうとしている」と指摘される。
＜指導者たち、大いなる者たち＞
「指導者たち ἄρχων アルこーン 」は「君主、支配者」の意味であるが「サンヘドリンの議会、会堂司」をも指す。「異邦人」であれ「ユダヤ人」であれ、「指導者たち」はいつの時代にも、政治的宗教的に人を抑制し、抑え込もうとする。
「大いなる者たち μέγας メガス」は「偉い人々」で、彼らもまた人々に権力を行使する。

権力によって「虐げられる者」の目には涙がある。しかし、その涙をぬぐう者はいない。「権力者の手」には「権力」がある。しかし、それもまた彼を慰めない。

権力など何一つない者でも、権力への喜びを感じる時がある。支配者でもないのに、支配への快感に身をゆだねそうになる。無意識から浮かび上がる悦びなのか。小さい独裁者め。

弟子たちの中に言い争いが始まったことを知って、イエスは彼らを呼び寄せて「あなたがたが知っているように、異邦人の間では支配者が民を支配し、力強き大いなる者が権力をふるう」と諭された。
弟子たちの心が神から離れていくのをご覧になり、イエスは彼らが「異邦人の君、力強き大いなる者」のように「民の上に權を執るになろうとしている」と指摘されたのである。
「指導者たち ἄρχων アルこーン 」は「君主、支配者」の意味であるが「サンヘドリンの議会、会堂司」をも指す。「異邦人」であれ「ユダヤ人」であれ、「指導者たち」はいつの時代にも、政治的宗教的に人を抑制し、抑え込もうとする。
「大いなる者たち μέγας メガス」は「力を誇る偉い人々」で、彼らもまた人々に権力を行使する。
神の国には一人の支配者も力強き大いなる者もいない。
しかし、「支配者」になろうとする思いがイエスの弟子たちの心を捉えていたことを軽視することはできない。
神の教会にも「支配者」は発生する。彼らは「大いなる者」と呼ばれるたびに深い満足に身を浸す。
「霊的権威」という暴君が思いのままに人々を支配する。
それらは、みな、「神なき異邦人」の目指す世界である。
