「つぶやき」
「不平を言う γογγύζω ゴングゆゾー」は「ぶつぶつ言う」ことで、公然と抗議したのではなく、あからさまな表情で互いにぶつぶつと、ぶどう園の主人への不満を口にしたのである。
「ぶつやき γογγύζω ゴングゆゾー」は野火のように、はじめは小さくても伝わるのは早く、やがて手の付けられない猛火になる。

「報い」
自分が正しく評価されていないという感情が不満を生み出す。そのような不満がさらに評価を下げる。
自分が評価されるのを期待するよりも、人を評価するがよい。そのことこそが評価に値する行為である。
「報い」は直接には近づかず、別の方向からとぼけた顔をしてやってくるものだ。

他の者たちは（早朝雇われた者に加えて、午前九時、正午、午後三時の人々を含めて）みな手元に渡された「一デナリオン」を見て、ぶどう園の主人に不平を漏らした。
朝一番に雇われた者は他人より少なく支払われたのではない。午前九時、正午、午後三時の人々が朝一番に雇われた者と同じ額の報酬を受けたのである。しかし、そのことが彼を怒らせる。自分が人よりも少なく報われたことに腹を立てるのである。
「不平を言う γογγύζω ゴングゆゾー」は「ぶつぶつ言う」ことで、公然と抗議したのではなく、あからさまな表情で互いにぶつぶつと、不満を口にする。
「ぶつやき γογγύζω ゴングゆゾー」は野火のように、はじめは小さくても伝わるのは早く、やがて手の付けられない猛火になる。
他人がどう報われるかを見る人は、自分が受けたものに満足することは決してない。自分はもっと報われるべきだと、受けたものが少ないと嘆く。
自分の受けたものをしっかりと見る者は、後から来た者のように自分も特別に報われたことを知るだろう。
人はすべて、「初めからの者」ではなく、「後から来た者」だからである。
