「人の受け取るもの」
人が受け取ったものを横目に見ながら、自分の受け取りを計算するな。私たちの目は、人の仕事は「小さく」その受け取ったものは「大きく」見えるだけでなく、自分の仕事は「大きく」その受け取るものは「小さく」見えるからである。

「不公平」
世の中はつくづく不公平だと思う人は「列の最後尾」に並んでいる。
最前列の人は一時間の仕事に一日分のよろこびを感じ、最後尾の人は仕事の喜びを感じることなく一日をぶどう園で過ごす。

しかし、朝一番にぶどう園にきて、まる一日を働いた人は違っていた。彼は「僅か一時間の労賃が一デナリオンなら、自分はその数倍を受けても不思議ではない」という計算を捨てることができなかった。
だが、彼にもぶどう園の主人は「一デナリ」を与えた。
朝一番の人は広場で「一日一デナリの約束」をしたことを忘れている。そのとき、彼はぶどう園の主人と「心を合わせ、調和し、同意した」のである。しかし、今や彼は主人と「心を合わせる」ことができなくなってしまったのである。
ぶどう園の主人は彼との「約束」を果たした。しかし、「約束」は彼の側で破られたのである。
人の「期待感」は「それより多く」を求めて祝福を失う。
