王の僕は「正しい事」をしている。しかし、「正しい事」をすることが常に「正しい」とは限らない。
神を信じる人はときに「悪」に関して必要以上に過酷である。「悪」を許さない正義のために同僚を訴え、東国することを躊躇わない。
神は人を過酷な正義の審判者にするために「許された」のではない。
人は許すために許されたのである。それが彼の「正義」である。
マタイ18:15~20で、われわれは兄弟の一人が罪を犯したとき、どうすべきかを学んだ。
まず、兄弟と二人だけで、次に二人三人の証人を交えて、それでも聞き入れないなら、教会に訴えよとイエスは教えられた。
それは裁くための行為ではなく、許すための行為である。
すべての人は、まず神に「許された者」として兄弟の前に立つのである。
