＜イエスの変貌＞

「イエスのみ姿」
山の上で、イエスの御顔は太陽のように輝き、その衣は光のように白くなった。イエスは変容されたというよりも、元々の御姿を現されたのである。
だが、十字架上でイエスのみ顔は最も強い「輝き」を放つのである。山上での変貌はその予告にすぎない。

山に登られたイエスがそこで祈り始められると、3人の弟子たちの見えている前で、イエスの顔が「日のごとくに」輝き、衣は「光のごとくに」見えた。
山の上で、イエスの御顔は太陽のように輝き、その衣は光のように白くなった。イエスは変容されたというよりも、元々の御姿を現されたのである。

墓を訪れたマグダラのマリヤ達にイエスの復活を告げた主の使いも、この日のイエスのように「その顔は、いなずまのように輝き、その衣は雪のように白かった」。（マタイ28:3 新改訳聖書）
イエスの栄光の御姿を見ることの許されたのは弟子の中でもペテロ、ヤコブ及びヤコブの兄弟ヨハネの三人である。
イエスの御姿を見たという証しがあるが、人は決して直接イエスを見ることはできない。
信仰はイエス「栄光の主」であることを知っており、その「輝き」を知っている。
その信仰が魂の変容を導く。
