「パリサイ人のパン種」の意味を悟らない弟子たちにイエスは「五つのパンを五千人に分け与えたこと」を思えと語られる。

「イエスのパン」
イエスが五千人の人々にパンを与えられたのは、彼らの飢えを満たすためだけではなかった。
パリサイ派とサドカイ派は人々が汚れたパン種で焼いたパンを食べることを禁じ、彼らの律法と口伝による儀式に従って焼かれるパン、いわば「パリサイ人とサドカイ人のパン」を提供した。
これに対して、イエスはその御手によって祝福された「パン」を律法の完成として人々に与えられたのである。
我らはその新しい「パン」によって生きる者である。

「出来事そのものの意味」
すべての出来事には意味がある。人は意味によって出来事を記憶する。
すべての出来事には人の与える意味とは別に、出来事そのものの意味がある。一つの解釈に生きていると、出来事そのものの意味がわからなくなる。「悟り」とは出来事そのものの意味を知ることに他ならない。
