「地引網」

「あのとき、別の道を選択していたら、自分の人生はどう変わったろうか？」ということを考えない人はいないだろう。しかし、どんな選択をしても、「網」が良い物も悪しき物もさらうように、喜びと一緒に後悔が引き上げられる。苦しみの一つもない人生の選択などありはしない。あのとき、別の道を選択していたら、あなたの知らない「喜び」と「苦しみ」を味わっているに違いない。

「畑を買った農夫と真珠商人」
「畑を買った農夫」は宝を見つけるとそれを隠して畑を買い取るのに対して、「真珠商人」は見つけた真珠を正規の値段で買い取る。価値あるものを手に入れるには、ずる賢いほどに知恵を働かせるとともに、愚直なほどに正当な方法をとらなければならない。その双方の知恵がなければ「持てるものをすべて売り払っても手に入れる価値あるもの」は来ない。

イエスは、さらに「地引網」の譬えを語られる。
「天國は、海におろして各樣のものを集むる網のごとし」
「網 σαγήνη サゲーネー」は「地引き網、底引き用の大網」である。海の底をさらって「あらゆる種類の魚」だけでなく、「海の底に沈む堆積物」までも集める。
「地引網」は海に下ろされ、何もかも網に集める。高級な魚もあれば、食べるに適さない魚も入る。そればかりか、底に朽ちて横たわる樹木の枝も網にかかるかもしれない。
「神の国」の網に入るのは、「あらゆる種類の魚」である。
神の御言葉は「あらゆる国の、あらゆる人々」に伝えられる。裁きの日にはそのことごとくが集められる。
神の国では、あらゆる国と民が等しく深い関心をもって集められる。そのことごとくが神をよろこばせる「よきもの」ではない。しかし、神の御心は「よきもの」にだけ向けられているのではない。神は「よきもの」も「あしきもの」も共に一つの網に集められるのである。
海の「あらゆるもの」に下ろされる「網」に譬えられる神の御心の広さがここにある。
