イエスは弟子たちに、「種まきの譬え」の意味を改めて教えらえる。
＜種播く者の譬＞
「たとえ παραβολή パラボれー」をヤングは「parable たとえ話、寓話」という言葉を避けて、「simile 直喩、明喩」をあてる。聖書の「たとえ」は「寓話」とは別のものである。
＜種播き＞
パレスティナでは通常、種まきは秋の雨が降った後に行われた。耕した地に種をまき、その上に鋤などで薄く土をかけた。石塊の混じる土地では辛い作業だった。

何を聞くかではなく、そのものの声を聴くのである。

「意味について聞く」
イエスの喩えは聞くだけでは充分ではない。その意味についても「聞く」必要がある。喩えの意味はその都度学ぶ必要がある。

イエスは弟子たちに、「種まきの譬え」の意味を改めて教えらえる。
「譬え」は誰でもがわかり易く理解できるように語られたものである。しかし、神のことばで聖書と御霊によらないで理解できる譬えはひとつもない。
「聞く耳」のあるもののみが、その意味を知り、知ることでさらなる御言葉の深みに導かれるのである。
「譬え」に一定の解釈があるのではない。「譬え」は生きた教えであり、「聞く耳」をもって聞く者に、その都度新しく意味を伝える神のことばである。
「譬え」を「譬え」をもって語らしめよ。さすれば、その深みは限りない。
聞く時はひたすらに聞き、見る時はじっと凝視し、いたずらに口をはさむべきではない。
