「イエスに付く者」
イエスに「味方しない者」はイエスと「共にあらざる者」であり、「共にあらざる者」は「逆らう者」である。
イエスと「一緒に（共に）集めない者」は「散らしている」のである。
しかし、イエスに「逆らわぬ者」は「イエスに付く者」である。彼もまた、イエスとともに集めている。

「集める者」
イエスに従う者は「従うが、何もしない」ことが許されない。イエスと共にいないのなら「逆らう者」であり、共に集めないなら「散らす者」である。
イエスと共に「集め」よ。集めないのなら私は散らしている。集めるべきは日々にある。心配なのは集めたものが再び散らされることだ。

イエスに従うものの特質は「集める」にあり、彼は決して「追い散らす」者ではない。

「ともに集めぬ者」の「集める συνάγω スゆナゴー」は、「σύν ～と一緒に ＋ ἄγω 行く、来る」からなり、「運ぶ、集める」の意味であるが、「結び合わせる、和解させる、家に迎える、厚くもてなす、歓待する」などの意味にも用いられる。
「散らす」は「σκορπίζω スコルピゾー」で「散らす、ちりぢりにする、ばらまく、ま
き散らす、追い散らす」である。
イエスと「共にあらざる者」は「逆らう者」である。イエスと「一緒に（共に）集めない者」は「散らしている」のである。
多くの人々は、常にイエスと共にいて集めるわけではない、だからといって、イエスに逆らうことも、散らすこともしていないと考える。
しかし、イエスに「味方しない者」はイエスと「共にあらざる者」であり、「共にあらざる者」は「逆らう者」である。
イエスと「一緒に（共に）集めない者」は「散らしている」のである。
この御言葉は「我らに逆はぬ者は、我らに附く者なり」（マルコ9:40）とともに理解されるべきである。
イエスに「逆らわぬ者」は「イエスに付く者」である。彼もまた、イエスとともに集めている。
一見して矛盾しているようであるが、一つのことの両面であろう。
味方をしないという逆らいがあり、逆らわないという味方がある。集めないという散らし方があり、散らさないという集め方がある。
