＜イエスを亡さんと議る＞
遂にファリサイ派の人々はイエス殺害の協議を始めた。恐ろしい計画が動き出した。安息日の律法を破ったというのがその理由である。
New International Version は、「議る συμβούλιον スゆムブーりオン」を「plotted 陰謀をめぐらせた」と訳す。But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus. New International Version

「イエス殺害」
今やファリサイ派は「如何にイエスを全く葬り去るか」という具体的な殺害計画に進む。「謀は密なるをもってよしとす」という。いつの時代にも謀は秘密裏に、そして細部まで具体的にはかられる。
漢字の「謀」は「むずかしいことを相談する」との意味である。イエスを殺害することはファリサイ派にとっても「むずかしい」ことだった。

「恐ろしい計画」
遂にファリサイ派の人々はイエス殺害の協議を始めた。恐ろしい計画が動き出した。安息日の律法を破ったという理由は表向きのものに過ぎない。人の立てる謀略は常に表立った理由とは別のところに真の原因が隠されている。

パリサイ人たちの「陰謀」はついにイエスを十字架にかけることに成功する。
しかし、イエスは十字架から復活され、それによって神の救いの御計画は完成する。
人間の「陰謀」も、神の御計画をいささかの妨げとはならない。
