＜視よ、おのが目に梁木のあるに＞
「梁木 δοκός ドコス」は「梁、桁、かんぬき、木の横材、丸太」のこと。
＜いかで兄弟にむかひて＞
「兄弟 ἀδελφός アデるふォス」は、「対の」で「兄弟、血縁者、同胞、隣人」をさす。
「塵」が気になるのは、「親しい人」、自分と「対」になる人の目にあるものである。自分と関わりのない人に、この感情はおこらない。
＜汝の目より塵をとり除かせよと言ひ得んや＞
「取らせて ἐκβάλλω エクバるろー」は「たたき落とす、外に投げ出す、投げ捨てる」こと。
目から「塵」をとるだけでなく、「叩き落としてしまいたい」のである。

「目の丸太」
自分の目に「丸太」のある者ほど、他人の目の「おが屑」が気になり、取り除きたがる。親切からではなく、自らの目の「丸太」がそうさせる。『あなたの目からおが屑を取らせてください』が「丸太」である。
他人の欠点が気になるのは、自分の認めがたい欠点を他人に見ているからである。それを他人に見ることで自分はそうではないと思い込もうとする。その欠点を自分に認めると、他人のことは気にならなくなる。

「メサイア・コンプレックス」
「メサイア・コンプレックス messiah complex」はキリスト者が克服しなければならないものの一つである。彼が人を助けたがるのは、自分が人を助けることによって自分が助かりたいからである。頼まれもしないのに人の目から「おが屑」を抜こうとし、感謝されないとむかつく。彼が不幸な人に近づくのは、自分は不幸でないことを確認したいからに他ならない。彼がおそれるのは、何よりも自分の目に「丸太」があるという事実である。「偽善者よ、まず自分の目から丸太を取り除け。そうすれば、はっきり見えるようになって、兄弟の目からおが屑を取り除くことができる」 マタイ7:5 共同訳聖書

「人の難より我が一難」ともいう。他人の受けた難は気にもとめないが、我がこととなると、些細な難を大騒ぎする。現代ではこれも見過ごしにはできない。

自分の目に梁木があるのに、兄弟の目の塵をとりたがる。
「梁木 δοκός ドコス」は「梁、桁、かんぬき、木の横材、丸太」のこと。
目に丸太がある者が見えるはずはない。自分の目が見えないのに、人の目にある小さな塵を認め、それを取りたがる。他人の目の塵が気になって仕方がない。
「他人」は「兄弟 ἀδελφός アデるふォス」で、この語は「対の」から来るもので「兄弟、血縁者、同胞、隣人」をさす。
「塵」が気になるのは、「親しい人」、自分と「対」になる人の目にあるものである。自分と関わりのない人に、この感情はおこらない。
「取らせて ἐκβάλλω エクバるろー」は「たたき落とす、外に投げ出す、投げ捨てる」こと。
兄弟の目から「塵」をとるだけでなく、「叩き落としてしまいたい」のである。
兄弟だから見える目の中の塵もあるにちがいない。
しかし、兄弟の目の中の塵を見させるのが、自分の目の中にある丸太であることに気づかなければ、決して塵を取り除くことはできない。
目の中の塵を取り除くのはその目が痛みに流す涙である・
